Chapter Master Meeting, The Royal Armouries, Leeds 22nd-23rd September,
2007.
Over the weekend we had a very enjoyable Chapter Master meeting at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
It was a chance for us train together and spread ideas for further training within the Chapter.
We went over the Foundation level of the new structured Syllabus, which will allow a more uniform standard across the Chapters. We also went through some of the theories and stratergies regarding to engagement, continuos movement and Timing and Distance.
The options of cross training were covered with sessions dealing with Sabre and Single rapier into smallsword.
We finally went through some training ideas used by the different Chapter which have proved useful and could be used throughout the Guild.
Thanks to Dan Smith, the Leeds Chapter Master. Also to the other in attendance.
